What happened
The Landlords filed an application to evict the Tenants, alleging property damage, actions that impaired safety, and improper use of the rental unit. The Landlords also sought compensation for unpaid utilities, repair costs, and for substantial interference. The dispute was resolved through a consent agreement reached during the hearing.
The ruling
By mutual agreement, the tenancy will terminate on April 30, 2025. The Landlords will waive $3,601.39 in unpaid utilities owed by the Tenants. The Landlords will also pay the Tenants $1,520.00, which includes the last month's rent and a key deposit. Additionally, one of the Landlords is required to provide a written reference letter. This agreement resolves all issues and releases all parties from further liability.
