What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant failed to pay $11,500 in rent arrears and failed to vacate the rental unit by the specified date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 1, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $5,330.32 plus $69.04 per day starting April 21, 2023 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 1, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
