What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlords also applied for an order requiring the Tenants to pay the rent they owe.

The ruling

The Landlords' L3 application was withdrawn due to a previous ex-parte order terminating the tenancy. The Board amended the Landlords' application to an L9 application for arrears and costs only. The Tenants are ordered to pay $15,186 to the Landlords, which includes rent arrears up to May 31, 2023 and the cost of filing the application.
