What happened
The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants for non-payment of rent. A preliminary issue involved removing a guarantor who was incorrectly named as a tenant. Although the Tenants made a payment of $6,600.00 after the application was filed, arrears remained at the time of the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 13, 2025, unless the Tenants pay $3,475.72 by July 31, 2025, or $5,125.72 by August 13, 2025, to void the order. If the Tenants do not pay and do not move out, the Landlord can enforce the eviction through the Sheriff. If the tenancy is terminated, the Tenants owe the Landlord $307.28 plus daily compensation of $54.25.
