What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order to pay $938.88 towards rent arrears by January 31, 2023. The Tenants also failed to pay the full rent that became owing from November 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 7, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $4,124.46 plus $53.93 per day starting April 27, 2023 until they vacate the unit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by May 7, 2023, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
