What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB order. The application was filed without a hearing.
The ruling
The previous LTB order is cancelled. The tenancy is terminated, and the tenant must move out by May 2, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The tenant shall pay $48.33 per day in compensation from April 22, 2023 until the tenant moves out.
