What happened
The Landlords obtained an ex parte eviction order after the Tenants allegedly breached conditions of a previous consent order issued on May 27, 2025. Tenant 1 requested a review of the ex parte order, arguing that she was under extreme stress and anxiety during the mediation that led to the consent order, and that she should have proceeded with a full hearing instead of settling.
The ruling
The Tenant's request for review of the June 18, 2025 ex parte order and the May 27, 2025 consent order is denied. The Board found no merit in the Tenant's claim that mental health stress invalidated her consent to the original settlement. The previous orders, including the eviction order, remain in full force and effect.
