What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to the Tenants or an occupant of the rental unit wilfully or negligently causing undue damage to the rental property by cutting down 50 feet of cedar trees without the Landlords' consent.
The ruling
The Tenants are ordered to replace the cut-down trees with a minimum of 17 trees that are no less than 1 foot higher than the back fence, and have the planting area properly excavated, by June 30, 2023. If the Tenants fail to comply, the Landlords may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenants. The Tenants are also ordered to pay the Landlords' $201 filing costs.
