What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on November 30, 2022 and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from October 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay to the Landlord $1,273.82, which includes rent arrears owing up to November 30, 2022 and the cost of the application minus the rent deposit and interest owing. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 16, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 6.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
