What happened

The Landlord applied for eviction after the Tenants failed to meet conditions in a previous Board order. An ex parte order was issued, and the Tenants' subsequent motion to set it aside was dismissed because they failed to attend the hearing on March 10, 2025. Tenant 1 requested a review of that dismissal, claiming they were unaware of the hearing and had medical issues. However, during the review hearing, Tenant 1 admitted to having verbal confirmation of the hearing date from the Board and stated that medical conditions did not prevent attendance.

The ruling

The request to review the order dated March 17, 2025, is denied. The original order, which dismissed the motion to set aside the eviction, stands. The stay of the eviction order is lifted immediately, allowing the Landlord to proceed with the eviction of the Tenants due to the breach of a previous order's conditions.
