What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The parties agreed to resolve the matter through mediation and reached a consent order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 31, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement starting June 1, 2024. The tenants must pay the landlord $2,826.87 in rent arrears and filing fees, less the rent deposit interest, in three installments by August 15, 2024. If the tenants fail to pay, they will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
