What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB order. The tenant did not meet the condition to pay the rent for April 2023 by the due date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 27, 2023. The tenant must pay the landlord $3,495.90 plus $47.05 per day for each day of continued occupancy after May 16, 2023. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by May 27, 2023, the landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
