What happened

Tenant 1 requested a review of an order terminating the tenancy for non-payment of rent. Tenant 1 claimed the arrears amount was incorrect, argued that Tenant 2 had vacated the unit a year prior and should not be included in the order, and requested a stay of the eviction. The Landlord maintained the original order was correct based on the evidence and admissions at the initial hearing.

The ruling

The request for review is denied. The original order issued on August 5, 2025, which terminated the tenancy and ordered eviction due to non-payment of rent, remains unchanged and in full effect. The Member found no serious error in the calculation of arrears or the inclusion of both tenants.
