What happened

The Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to significant rent arrears. The Tenants had not made a rent payment since March 2025. While the Tenants requested a payment plan citing work-related changes and family responsibilities, the Landlords opposed this due to their own financial suffering and the substantial amount owed.

The ruling

To void the eviction and continue the tenancy, the Tenants must pay $20,686.00 by September 14, 2025. Daily compensation of $83.84 applies for each day the Tenants remain in the unit starting August 28, 2025.
