What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated on May 19, 2024 unless the Tenant pays $12,186 to void the order and continue the tenancy. If the Tenant does not pay, they must vacate the unit by May 19, 2024 and pay the Landlord $8,694.67 plus $46.03 per day in compensation starting April 17, 2024.
