What happened

The Landlords filed a request to review a previous order which had allowed them to withdraw their application for personal use (N12). The Landlords claimed there was a discussion regarding a termination date of August 31, 2025, during the withdrawal process. However, the Board found that the N12 notice was fatally defective as the termination date was incorrect and that the Landlords had voluntarily requested the withdrawal after being informed of the defect.

The ruling

The Landlords' request to review the June 9, 2025, consent order is denied. The original order, which allowed the Landlords to withdraw their application due to a defective N12 notice, stands. The Board found no serious error in the proceeding or the ruling, noting the Landlords voluntarily chose to withdraw after the defect was identified.
