What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The Tenant was not present at the hearing.
The ruling
The Landlord's application is granted. The tenancy is terminated effective July 31, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord compensation of $71.62 per day for the use of the unit starting August 1, 2024 until the date the Tenant moves out.
