What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful rights of the Landlord or other tenants. The Landlord alleged the Tenant engaged in various disruptive behaviors such as yelling, banging, knocking on other tenants' doors, leaving garbage, using a golf club to damage property, excessive smoking, and denying the Landlord access to the rental unit.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $186 for the application filing fee and daily compensation of $40.68 per day starting October 1, 2023 until the Tenant vacates. The last month's rent deposit will be applied to September 2023 rent. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owed by September 30, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest starting October 1, 2023.
