What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord's son, Navjot Batth.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 14, 2023. The Landlords are ordered to return the balance of the last month's rent deposit, plus interest, to the Tenant. The Tenant shall pay the Landlords $55.89 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from May 14, 2023 to the date they move out.
