What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to meet certain conditions specified in a previous LTB order, including failure to pay rent arrears and current rent.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 29, 2023. The tenant must pay the landlord $7,043.44 (less any amounts paid after the application was filed) and $49.71 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting April 19, 2023 until the tenant moves out. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by April 29, 2023, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
