What happened

The landlords and tenant entered into an agreement to terminate the tenancy as of February 3, 2023, but the tenant did not move out by the termination date. The landlords filed an application to obtain vacant possession.

The ruling

The tenancy between the landlords and tenant is terminated. The tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before May 5, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on any outstanding balance starting May 6, 2023.
