What happened
The Landlord, a corporation, applied to terminate the tenancy due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payments. At the hearing, one of the Tenants attended and acknowledged the late payments, requesting to terminate the tenancy on April 2, 2025, and asking for time until April 30, 2025, to pay the outstanding arrears. The Board granted the Tenant's request.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 2, 2025, as requested by the Tenant. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $550.17 for arrears and fees by April 30, 2025. Additionally, they must pay daily compensation of $52.10 from March 26, 2025, until they vacate. If the Tenants do not move out by April 2, 2025, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
