What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 8, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $8,862.32 (less any payments made after the application was filed) for rent arrears and the cost of the previous application. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $36.16 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting April 28, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 8, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
