The Tenant proved the allegations against the Landlord on a balance of probabilities. The Landlord must pay the Tenant $18,783.60, which includes rent abatement, damages for destroyed/damaged property, moving/storage expenses, out-of-pocket expenses, and general damages. The Landlord must also pay a $7,000 administrative fine to the LTB.
