What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant. The Landlord alleged the Tenant failed to keep the rental unit in an ordinary state of cleanliness, with excessive clutter and garbage.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 14, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the unit by this date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay by August 14, 2023, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
