What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to meet certain conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The tenant failed to pay $250 towards outstanding arrears and the February 2023 rent by the due dates.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 15, 2023. The tenant must pay the landlord $3,543.09 (less any payments made after the application was filed) by April 15, 2023, representing rent arrears up to April 4, 2023 and the application filing fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The tenant must also pay the landlord $21.37 per day for use of the unit starting April 5, 2023 until the tenant vacates.
