What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant and Former Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Former Tenant vacated the unit in May 2022, leaving the Tenant as the sole occupant.
The ruling
The parties consented to an order that the Tenant shall pay the Landlord $20,752.48 for rent arrears and costs in installments by September 20, 2023. If the Tenant fails to make any of the payments, the Landlord may apply to the LTB for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
