What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenants failed to pay the full rent arrears and current rent by the due dates.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 1, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $15,744.20 (less any payments made after the application was filed) by May 1, 2023, representing rent arrears, the previous application fee, less the rent deposit and interest. If the unit is not vacated by May 1, 2023, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenants also owe the Landlord $51.90 per day in compensation from April 21, 2023, until they move out.
