What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order, including non-payment of rent arrears and February 2023 rent.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 14, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $5,355.42, which includes rent arrears up to April 3, 2023 and the cost of the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed to the Tenant. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $49.99 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting April 4, 2023 until the Tenant vacates.
