What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent, persistent late payment, and substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental complex. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $13,701 by May 20, 2023 to void the order and continue the tenancy. If the Tenant does not pay, they must vacate the unit by May 20, 2023 and pay the Landlord $10,406.74 plus daily compensation. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $637.51 for unpaid utility costs.
