What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Tenant repeatedly tampered with the heat detector in the rental unit, which seriously impaired the safety of other persons in the residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by May 10, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186 for the cost of filing the application, and the last month's rent deposit shall be applied to the last month of the tenancy.
