What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by September 30, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlords may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlords compensation for use of the unit from January 1, 2024 to the move-out date, less any amounts already paid. The Landlords owe the Tenant the rent deposit and interest.
