What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlords' parents.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 21, 2025. The Tenants must vacate the unit by this date. If they do not, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction. The Tenants owe the Landlord $4,503.12, which includes rent arrears and daily compensation, less the rent deposit and interest.
