What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to their failure to pay rent as required by a previous LTB order. The tenants did not meet the conditions specified in the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 8, 2023. The tenants must pay the landlord $8,575.95 in rent arrears and costs, plus $24.30 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting June 28, 2023 until they vacate. If the full amount is not paid by July 8, 2023, the tenants will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
