What happened

The Tenants, Daniel Cole and Tracey Ranger, applied for an order determining that the Landlord, 20/20 Property Management Limited, collected or retained money illegally. The Tenants alleged the Landlord did not compensate them under the Residential Tenancies Act and did not pay interest on the last month's rent deposit.

The Landlord is ordered to pay the Tenants $1,571.00, which includes $1,518.00 in compensation owed for vacating on the N12 notice and $53.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Landlord does not pay the full amount by December 11, 2023, they will owe interest at 7.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
