What happened
The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy for personal use, stating an intention to occupy the rental unit and convert the residential complex back into a single-family dwelling. The Landlord also suggested that his ex-wife and children might move into the building. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The Landlord's application to terminate the tenancy for personal use was dismissed. The adjudicator found that the Landlord did not provide sufficient evidence to prove a good faith intention to occupy the unit or carry out the alleged conversion of the property. The tenancy continues.
