What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order, including not paying $600 towards outstanding arrears by March 31, 2023 and not paying April 2023 rent by April 2, 2023.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 26, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $8,152.74 (less any payments made after April 10, 2023) by May 26, 2023, representing the remaining rent arrears and the cost of the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 26, 2023, the Tenant will owe additional daily compensation of $28.31 starting May 16, 2023 until the Tenant vacates the unit.
