What happened

Landlords sought injunction against Tenant who fraudulently leased multiple single-family homes and converted them into illegal rooming houses. Tenant failed to comply with court orders to restore properties to single-family residences.

The court found Tenant in contempt for failing to comply with previous orders to restore properties to single-family residences. Tenant was ordered to pay $36,000 in restitution to Landlords ($3,000 per property) and $50,000 in legal costs. If restitution is not paid within 10 days, Tenant faces 120 days in jail.
