What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant failed to pay $1,000 towards the first payment of the lawful monthly rent that was due on or before May 1, 2023.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 12, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,033.53 plus $52.60 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting June 2, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by June 12, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 6.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
