What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

Unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $22,567.00 by March 2, 2024, the tenancy will be terminated and the tenants must vacate the rental unit. If they do not pay, they will owe $19,027.25 plus daily compensation of $65.75 per day starting February 8, 2024.
