What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges related to NSF cheques and utility costs the Tenant was required to pay under the tenancy agreement.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $7,657 by October 31, 2023 or $8,710 by November 15, 2023 to void the order. If the Tenant does not pay, they must vacate the unit by November 15, 2023 and pay the Landlord $6,950.20 plus daily compensation of $34.62 from October 11, 2023 until move-out.
