What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlords' parents.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of June 30, 2024. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before June 30, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord compensation for use of the unit from July 1, 2023 to the date they move out, less the rent deposit and interest.
