What happened

The landlord applied to evict the tenant due to numerous complaints from other tenants about yelling, screaming, banging, and other disruptive conduct by the tenant. The Landlord and Tenant Board ordered the tenant to move out by April 30, 2018. The tenant appealed this decision to the Divisional Court.

The ruling

The Divisional Court quashed the tenant's appeal of the LTB eviction order. The court found that the tenant's grounds of appeal did not raise any valid questions of law and were manifestly without merit. The eviction order was upheld and the tenant is no longer entitled to remain in the apartment.
