What happened
The landlords and tenant entered into an agreement to terminate the tenancy as of May 31, 2023. Since the tenant did not move out by the termination date, the landlord had to file an application to obtain vacant possession.
The ruling
The tenancy between the landlords and tenant is terminated. The tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before July 1, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The tenant must pay the landlords $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by July 1, 2023, they will start owing interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
