What happened

Landlords applied for an order requiring Former Tenants to pay for reasonable out-of-pocket costs to repair or replace undue damage to the rental property, which was caused willfully or negligently by the Former Tenants, another occupant, or someone the Former Tenants permitted in the residential complex.

The ruling

Former Tenants shall pay Landlords $2,151.63, which includes $3,849.03 for reasonable costs to repair damage, minus the rent deposit and interest. If Former Tenants do not pay by December 2, 2024, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
