What happened
The Landlord applied for the termination of the tenancy and eviction because the Tenants have been persistently late in paying their rent. The Landlord provided evidence that from July 2024 to June 2025, rent was never paid on time by the 10th of each month. Furthermore, the Tenants stopped making payments altogether after July 9, 2025. The Tenants did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 11, 2025. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $6,541.41 for rent compensation and the application fee. If the Tenants do not vacate, the Landlord can enforce the eviction through the Sheriff starting November 12, 2025. Additionally, the Tenants must pay $155.01 per day for each day they remain in the unit after October 21, 2025.
