What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlords served a valid N4 Notice, and the Tenant did not void the notice by paying the arrears. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing, which the Landlord attended but the Tenant did not.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $7,186 by June 21, 2024. If the Tenant does not void the order, the Tenant must move out by June 21, 2024 and pay the Landlords $2,023.96, plus daily compensation of $82.19 from May 30, 2024 until the Tenant moves out.
