What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant or someone visiting or living with the Tenant substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex and/or the Landlord's lawful rights, privileges or interests due to animal negligence, including the abandonment of the animals indoors, resulting in very poor hygienic conditions, with the smell of cat urine and animal feces.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated effective April 6, 2025. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before April 6, 2025. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application.
