What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Unauthorized Occupant because the Tenant transferred occupancy of the rental unit to the Unauthorized Occupant without the Landlord's consent. The Landlord also applied for compensation by the Unauthorized Occupant for the use of the rental unit.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant is terminated. The Unauthorized Occupant shall move out by October 14, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by then, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Unauthorized Occupant shall pay the Landlord $41.42 per day for use of the unit from July 11, 2024 until they move out. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $201 for the application filing cost by October 14, 2024. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by then, they will owe interest at 7% on the outstanding balance.
