What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy after the Tenants signed an N11 notice to end the tenancy. The Tenants later filed a motion to set aside the order, alleging they felt pressured into signing the N11 and that the Landlords should have served an N12 notice instead.

The ruling

The motion to set aside the previous order is denied. The Tenants' agreement to terminate the tenancy through the N11 notice is binding, and there is no compelling reason to set it aside. However, due to the Tenants' difficulties finding a new place to live, the stay of the previous order is lifted as of May 31, 2023.
